My name is John Hallman, and this is my blog.
I’m currently a researcher at OpenAI working on post-training science, though I've done a bunch of other stuff in the past from pre-training, RL, bio, healthcare, and more.
I grew up in Sweden to a Swedish father and a Japanese mother. Growing up, I was fortunate to stumble into figure skating and math competitions, both of which I ended up competing in internationally, representing Sweden at the 2012 figure skating youth olympic games, and the 2016 international mathematical olympiad.
